This notice explains the data handled by this KDV website, the choices available to you and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR and Brazil’s LGPD where applicable.
Who is responsible
Lab of Codes & Kolmeia is responsible for this website’s content and the processing choices described here. Business units: Braga, Portugal, and Florianópolis, Brazil. Contact us about privacy or data rights at info@kolmeia.io. The site language does not determine which law applies; applicability depends on the processing and the person’s circumstances.
What this website handles
When you browse, the hosting infrastructure necessarily receives connection information, which may include IP address, requested resource, date and time, and browser information. Public browsing does not require an account. We do not add visitor analytics, advertising pixels, behavioural profiling or remote fonts.
The project brief stays on your device
The project form handles your name, organisation and challenge text in your browser to create a downloadable text file. Its contents are not sent to KDV, stored on our server or used to train a model by this application. The form resets when you reload or leave the page. The downloaded file remains on your device until you delete it; sharing it afterwards is your choice. Please avoid sensitive personal data in the description.
Purposes and legal grounds
We use your permission for optional language storage, consistent with GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and LGPD Article 7(I). The minimal record of your privacy choice supports respecting that decision. Necessary website delivery and protection may involve legitimate interests, subject to the applicable safeguards and provider responsibilities. We do not treat closing a banner, scrolling or continuing to browse as consent.
Storage, access and retention
The privacy-choice record expires after 180 days; permission can be withdrawn earlier. The optional language value is removed on withdrawal or when an expired choice is next checked. You can delete both in your browser. Form fields are not persisted by this application; browser autofill is controlled by you. Hosting connection and security logs follow the provider’s retention rules, rather than the 180-day browser setting.
Providers, links and international processing
The public website is hosted by Hostinger and its infrastructure providers. Infrastructure processing may take place outside your country under the applicable hosting agreement, data processing addendum and safeguards. This application does not export form contents or language choices to an external service. Links to GitHub and KDV/framework take you to separate sites with their own practices; we do not embed them or load their content automatically.
Your rights and how to contact us
Depending on the applicable law, you may request information, confirmation and access, correction, erasure, restriction, opposition or portability where available, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send your request to info@kolmeia.io, describing the matter without unnecessary sensitive information. We may ask for proportionate verification and will respond within the applicable legal deadlines. For data held independently by the hosting provider, we will identify that provider and its relevant channel.
Supervision and updates
You may lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority, including CNPD in Portugal or ANPD in Brazil. The relevant authority depends on your situation. We update this notice when the website’s processing changes; optional tools will require an updated choice before activation. This notice covers the institutional website, not customer data processed in a separately contracted KDV platform.
